Vinous 89 points - Good medium red. Expressive musky aromas of raspberry, mocha, pepper and spices, plus a sexy whiff of woodsmoke. Suave, savory and smooth on the palate, with red fruit and spice flavors dominating. Nicely restrained sweetness here. Not quite as concentrated or fleshy as the De Sangre blend but equally stylish and fine-grained, finishing with even suppler tannins.
Wine Spectator 90 points - A suave and refined style, with lilting spice and sandalwood notes to the flavors of dried raspberry, red currant and rose hip. Savory midpalate, with a dried beef note on the well-structured finish. Drink now through 2019. 10,200 cases imported.
Deep ruby red color, with aromas of ripe red fruit, spices and black pepper. The palate intensity is complemented by the softness and sweetness of the tannins. Full-bodied and structured.
