Vinous 90 points - The 2010 Barolo is weightless, lifted and quite pretty. Freshly cut flowers, mint, crushed rocks, red berries and licorice are all laced together in a super-expressive, feminine Barolo from Prunotto. The 2010 can be enjoyed with minimal cellaring, but it also has enough energy and underlying structure to develop nicely in bottle for a handful of years. (Sep 2014)
Fleshy red berry, rose, blue flower, mint and baking spice aromas take center stage. The racy palate is still somewhat closed but offers Morello cherry layered with white pepper, alpine herbs and spice alongside assertive tannins and nervous acidity. Young and tightly wound, this should evolve into a classic.
