Brilliant color. The nose has intense fruit, marked by aromas of grapefruit and pineapple. On the palate, it is well balanced and juicy, with a long, fresh, pineapple finish. Los Vascos Sauvignon Blanc is best drunk young. It is good as an aperitif and with all types of seafood and salads with light dressings.
|The acquisition of Los Vascos by Les Domaines Barons de Rothschild (Lafite) in 1988 was the result of a careful search among more than 100 Chilean wines for one that could meet the Rothschild criteria for excellence. The property has been completely renovated, both in viticulture and viniculture. With over 2,200 contiguous hectares, 530 are planted to Cabernet Sauvignon (95%) and Chardonnay (5%). Los Vascos is the largest vineyard in the Caneten Valley of Colchagua and can easily maintain its, “Estate Grown, Hand Picked, Hand Sorted, Estate Bottled” status.
