Ultimate Beverage Challenge 86 points - A wash of cracked black peppercorn, velvety dark berries, and pine rise from the glass. Quite dense on the palate with suggestions of citrus pith and rosemary paired with boysenberry. Great structure, and very smooth. (Jun 2016)
Dark purple in color with a nose of blackberry jam melded with creamy vanilla aromas, a touch of tobacco, spicy clove and cinnamon. The wine is rich in the mouth, with smooth tannins and rich, ripe plum and berry flavors. The finish is long and fruit-filled, with the perfect amount of toasty oak spice. This wine is perfect for enjoying upon release and for the next 4-5 years.
