The pale colour of Chardonnay is accentedby white and green crystalline notes. Remarkably fine bubbles and a nice persistent strand of bubbles.
Great variety of aromatic top notes. White flowers. Dominant middle notes of fruit (green apple, pear, dried apricot) and citrus (lemon, grapefruit), with hints of pastry and toast. End notes of crushed fruit (compote, marmalade, mirabelles).
Lightness, finesse, and balance. A crisp, lively wine without excess aggression. Ample on the palate with a long finish. Chardonnay adds complexity and balance.
Wine Spectator 92 points - A focused Champagne, offering tightly wound flavors of toast, honeyed apple, lemon peel, white pepper and ginger. Smoky, with sophisticated polish and a fresh, lightly floral finish. Drink now through 2021. 3,000 cases imported. –AN (Dec 31 2010)
