Buy Stags' Leap Winery Cabernet Sauvignon
Wine Advocate 90 points - The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon from Napa (86% Cabernet Sauvignon and the rest Malbec, Petite Sirah and Petit Verdot) was aged 20 months in French oak, of which 37% was new. This is a structured, tannic, rather austere style of wine that mimics a fine Bordeaux. It is deep ruby/purple and offers notes of graphite, black and red currants, licorice and tobacco leaf. It is medium-bodied, structured, and best cellared for several years and drunk over the following 15 years. 90+ Points (Mar 2016)

Wine maker notes
Cabernet has always been a mainstay in the winemaking program at Stags’ Leap Winery. Our Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a combination of estate fruit and grapes from select Napa Valley growers. Much of the estate vineyard is planted to Cabernet Sauvignon where deep, well-drained, loamy volcanic soils make this a perfect place to grow Cabernet.

Producer
On one of California’s earliest wine estates, a unique terroir and ideal microclimate support a classical standard of viticulture, land use, and winemaking that is as relevant today as it was over a century ago. An intimate valley within the greater Napa Valley, Stags’ Leap is a place of natural beauty, storied buildings and gardens, a lively history, and a reputation for elegant wines showing finesse and intensity.
