"The 2013 La Jalousie from Domaine du Closel is another very strong bottle of Savennières in another difficult vintage. The bouquet is deep, complex and shows already a bit of development in its blend of baked apple and peach, chalk dusty soil tones, lanolin and plenty of smokiness in the upper register. On the palate the wine is deep, full-bodied, focused and very long on the backend, with a rock solid core, fine balance and a ripe, complex and snappy finish. This is drinking very well out of the blocks and should keep well for at least another five to seven years. A fine effort in 2013. 2015-2022+? "
