Buy F.Lli Brovia Barolo Ca'Mia
A very complete and long aging wine from a great vineyard of Serralunga d’Alba. The colour is intense ruby red. The smell is intense, pleasant, balanced and spicy with a bouquet of plums, cedar, tobacco, liquorice, soy and floral notes. The taste is full bodied, concentrated and rich, with a firm tannic structure that classic Barolo need for a long ageing .
Wine Advocate 93 points - My money is on the 2009 Barolo Ca’ Mia for the longest aging potential of the bunch. The intensity and richness is bountiful, and seductive aromatic layers of dried fruit, licorice, tar, button mushroom and tobacco lift off the glass with building intensity. The wine’s texture is firmer and the length is decisively more rewarding. Anticipated maturity: 2016-2030.  (Jun 2013)

Wine Enthusiast 94 points - This classically styled Barolo has hallmark Nebbiolo scents of rose, violet, spice, leather and forest floor. The creamy palate delivers wild cherry flavors, layered with spice, mint, licorice and eucalyptus notes. It’s well balanced, fresh and structured. While it’s already enjoyable, drink it after 2018 for more complexity. (Sep 2013)

Food pairing
As with the Barolo Villero, traditional combinations are with game or red meat dishes. The great balance of this Barolo makes it very suitable also with mature cheese bread.

In the wonderful hills of Barolo wine, where the landscape begins to take on a different, more animated guise, there is a family that has always been associated with wine: the BROVIAs. The Winery had been set up as far back as 1863 and is settled in Castiglione Falletto. Paying always attention to the importance of the “terroir”, with time and an uncompromising attitude to the selection of the finest vineyards in Langa, the family has been able to acquire great vineyards in the Barolo growing area: Rocche, Villero and Garblet Sue’ in Castiglione Falletto and Ca’Mia and Brea in Serralunga d’Alba. Thus, the philosophy of the Winery is to propose great personality Barolos (as with the other wines produced), all made in the same way, but with very specific and clean characteristics, always different among them; Barolos that faithfully reflect the richness of our great Langa vineyards.
