Vinous 94 points - The 2010 Gattinara San Francesco is the most accessible of the estate’s three single-vineyard Gattinaras. Another intense, powerful wine, the San Francesco occasionally also show a more tender, welcoming side of its personality. Sweet tobacco, licorice and dried herbs all add nuance to the beautifully textured. There is a level of sweetness and openness to the San Francesco that the other wines don’t offer, at least not today.  (Jul 2015)

Wine Enthusiast 94 points - Mature black cherry, leather, grilled herb, ground pepper and balsamic notes are just some of the aromas and flavors of this stunning Nebbiolo. It’s well balanced with bracing, noble tannins and bright acidity but it still needs time to come together. Drink 2018-2035. Giuliana Imports, PDX Wine.  (Mar 2015)
