The jewel of the house. Made entirely with Verdejo grape vines ungrafted, with vintage manual and ages close to 100 years. It is a wine of limited production resulting from a rare vineyard.
After manual harvesting, the wine is fermented at low temperature to keep all their fruity and mineral power.
Bright yellow color with lemony highlights. The nose is fresh and attractive, with aromas of white fruit and notes of dry wood such as features, fennel and dried flowers. The palate comes the volume that envelops everything. It moves slowly through your mouth, spreading fleshy fruit and fresh grass. Its light bitter finish, gives great length and pleasant memory.
|In 1989 Jose Maria Herrero acquired 12 acres of Sauvignon Blanc and 135 acres of verdejo vineyards that had been neglected for many years. The vineyards varied in age up to 150 years old, and Jose Maria saw great potential in them. Jose Maria built his state of the art
bodega later that year, which has been upgraded several times to keep up with all of the advancements in technology. The bodega is located in the small village of Nieva in the western portion of Rueda.
