Vinous 91 points - Bright straw. Vibrant, mineral-accented citrus fruit, peach nectar and floral aromas show very good clarity, picking up a gingery nuance with air. Juicy and broad on entry, then more taut in the mid-palate, offering concentrated pit fruit and honey flavors and an undercurrent of chalky minerals. This rich yet lithe Condrieu finishes with excellent clarity and stony persistence.  (Feb 2015)

Wine Spectator 93 points - A focused style, with bitter almond and green fig notes that race along, backed by honeysuckle, fennel and white peach flavors. A minerally edge adds vibrancy to the finish. Beautiful. Drink now through 2016. 165 cases made. -JM  (Sep 30 2015)

Wine maker notes
Our vineyard is on the Coteau de Chery, to the south of Condrieu. The soils are made up of disaggregated granite which is highly permeable and very hot. The Condrieu is a highly aromatic wine (apricot, peach, honey, hawthorn, etc.), very full-bodied and not very acidic. It is usually served young, either as an aperitif, or with fish or with poultry. It also goes very well with ”petites rigottes”, Condrieu goats cheeses. Certain vintages are exceptionally rich and age very well.

Producer
For as long as we can remember, in the garden or in the vineyard, farming has always been a part of our family history. We are fervent farmers and fervent winegrowers. This passion for the soil, vines, good wine and good food, means that we continue to follow our family heritage. It drives us to cultivate our Earth in the most natural way possible, whether it is on the vertiginous slopes of Cote-Rotie or on the softer grounds of the Coteaux du Lyonnais. The estate is currently run by Gilbert Clusel, Brigitte Roch and their son Guillaume Clusel. It has eight hectares of vineyards, half a hectare of Condrieu and the rest Cote-Rotie. On three historic vineyards of the Lyonnais Ampuis (Aoc Cote-Rotie), Condrieu (Aoc Condrieu), Millery (Aoc Coteaux Du Lyonnais)
