Jean-Claude Thevenet is a third generation winemaker whose winery is located in one of the forty three villages of the Mācon, Pierreclos. This wine has been a favorite in out white Burgundy section in past vintages, and after the tasting the 2014 vintage, we had a happy reminder of why this is the case. A very clean, but rich style of chardonnay, aged in stainless steel, to show the natural beauty of this great variety without the cosmetic coat of oak. Green & white fruit hug ones palate with a richness created by ageing the wine on its lees before bottling. A small production of about 2100 cases a year, we are lucky to experience this wine with a sense of place and a great winemaking tradition.
