Here is a wine that is about as complex as can be produced from the grape and yet not spill over into Chardonnay territory. Its deep, layered aromas start with plenty of perfumed, ripe, muskmelon fruitiness and add in grassy, creamy, minerally and even slightly honeyed notes, and those complex facets are also much in evidence on the palate. Withal, the wine is never heavy or overblown, and it maintains impeccable balance across the palate and into a lengthy finish.
